Bildspec acoustic moving walls create dynamic learning spaces at Sydney school

Children spend a lot of time in classrooms, and it’s estimated that the majority of this time is spent trying to comprehend their teachers’ and classmates’ speech. Environments where it is difficult to hear can lead to students becoming disconnected and struggling to focus. This, in turn, can impact their cognitive development, reduce learning outcomes, and cause behavioural issues. These innovative learning environments offer flexibility and adaptability where teachers/lecturers can provide opportunities for student engagement.

Mosca Pserras Architects specified these acoustic moving walls with Autex Composition 10mm acoustic fabric in colour Myst. Such face finishes used on the surface of each operable wall can improve the NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient)/ reverberation acoustic quality of the space through sound absorption.
