The latest Caesarstone Porcelain design, Marbannova, arrived as Salone del Mobile, the world’s largest and most prestigious design fair, reached its halfway mark in April. And as if in lockstep with the design trends emanating from the fair, Marbannova’s defining characteristics are its nature-inspired design, exuding a sense of opulence, and a conscious minimisation of its environmental footprint.

Marbannova, in a silk finish, reflects the distinctive colour and patina of the much-loved Calacatta marble, its warm white base featuring prominent veining infused with striations of subtle gold, warm grey and muted copper.

Its sustainability credentials include the fact that each slab of Caesarstone Porcelain is crafted from natural raw ingredients such as clay, feldspar and oxides, while its production process adheres to the brand’s ‘green waste’ reuse process, whereby up to 20% of its contents are the waste from the first stage of production and 100% of all water is recycled.

The kitchen pictured above, designed by Studio Minosa, features a palette of warm, earthy tones enriched with sustainably sourced timber detailing, terrazzo flooring and ecru-coloured cabinetry. The hero of the space, however, is the large-scale curved island bench, featuring Marbannova benchtop, with shark-nose profile, and slatted timber detailing. In a design repeat, the rear workbench and splashback feature the same 12mm profile Porcelain Marbannova, juxtaposed with a luxurious gold metal rangehood.

The balanced mix of natural materials and warm neutral hues, flooded with natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows, creates a space that is at once inviting and calming, a place to create delicious food and meaningful memories.

In keeping with Caesarstone’s environmental sustainability commitment, Porcelain carries the Greenguard, HPD (Health Product Declaration), LBC Red List Compliance (Living Building Challenge) and Kosher certificates of approval. Each slab of Caesarstone Porcelain also carries a lifetime warranty.

Available in both 12mm and 20mm profiles, with surface dimensions of 1600 x 3200mm, these larger slabs make the creation of sweeping expanses of joint-free surfaces a welcome reality.

Caesarstone Porcelain is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, enabling an uninterrupted flow of aesthetics from one area to the other.
