Arcos House, designed by Joe Adsett Architects, is a celebration of arches from its tunnel-like entry leading to an arched doorway, through to an awe-inspiring space where the arched geometry transforms into generous curves.

Beautifully referencing the original Queenslander and Spanish Mission style of its predecessor, the design is a stunning interplay of materiality and volumes, with rendered concrete providing a soft, neutral base throughout the house.

Built by Graya Constructions, the house also features additional materials that provide a sense of warmth and scale. The sitting room, for instance, features Evenex Deep Grain Oak cabinetry with curved edges that melt into the walls.

Evenex Deep Grain Oak from Elton Group is also used in the kitchen, where it provides a break away from the soft tones of the rendered concrete to add a complementary tonality with contemporary minimalist detailing, also seen in feature joinery throughout the bedrooms.
