Spotted gum veneers were installed on fire-rated MDF panels at the Sydney International Convention Centre.

Designed by Populous & Hassell and built by Lend Lease, the convention centre features FLAMEBLOCK LIGHT FRMDF 12mm, FLAMEBLOCK FRMDF 12mm and FLAMEBLOCK LIGHT FRMDF 16mm, 18mm and 25mm panels, as well as eco-cert Spotted Gum PEFC veneers. These products were used in a range of applications including ceiling panelling, wall panelling and acoustic panelling in addition to the stairwell and balustrades.

The spotted gum veneer (quarter-cut, colour blended) was installed on the FLAMEBLOCK MDF substrate. Hoop Pine ceiling panels were installed in the auditorium.
