Nepean Building & Infrastructure presents the Galintel J-Bar shelf beam designed for cavity walls in double brick or brick veneer with timber trusses.

Similar to a T-Bar, the J-Bar was developed in response to a demand from builders for an economical substitute for built-up steel sections such as parallel flange channel and plate. The Galintel brand represents quality, performance and code compliance.

Featuring a special top flange incorporated into the upright section, the Galintel J-Bar comes hot-dip galvanised, fully engineered and university tested, providing an off-the shelf solution for cavity walls.

Available from accredited Galintel distributors, the J-Bar is a convenient alternative to custom-made beams such as PFC and flat plate, which have to be fabricated and galvanised. The J-Bar shelf beams are provided with a full product warranty and safe load tables.

A quick and economical solution for cavity walls, Galintel J-Bar shelf beams deliver several advantages:

While the header flange is pre-drilled and galvanised for timber fixing, the bottom flange is pre-drilled and galvanised for column connection. Featuring an innovative, efficient design up to 20% lighter than built-up steel sections, the shelf beams come in a standard range of lengths, with non-standard lengths also available to order.

Engineered and university tested for performance, the shelf beams come with a 25-year performance warranty, and R3 durability rating.
