Custom made roller shutters from Kings Roller Grilles and Shutters (KRGS) are being supplied to Dubbo Hospital as part of its phased redevelopment.

The extensive redevelopment project has been designed to provide new and revitalised facilities to meet the increasing demand for health services in Dubbo and surrounding areas. The project will cement Dubbo Hospital’s place as a major rural referral centre and acute care hospital for speciality services in the region.

Stages 3 and 4 of the redevelopment underway now will further expand and enhance the services provided to the community. The $150 million commitment from the NSW Government will fund and deliver a new emergency department and short stay unit; medical imaging unit; critical care floor comprising a coronary care and stroke unit, intensive care unit and cardiac catheter laboratory; medical imaging unit; ambulatory care unit; expansion of the oncology unit; new entry and drop-off zone; upgrade of the women’s and children’s community health services; and additional car parking.

Working with Hansen Yunken and HDR Architecture, KRGS Doors will install custom made Counterline roller shutters and Series II aluminium roller shutters at the hospital. The new doors fit the specifications sought by HDR and Hansen Yunken to meet NSW Health requirements.

The Dubbo Hospital project follows the installation of KRGS doors at Wollongong Hospital for Hansen Yunken.
