Kingwood’s external cladding system was installed at the Taylor residence in Berrara, NSW.

Architect Jack Taylor sought a timber cladding feature for his house that also needed to have low maintenance requirements. Kingwood’s QBO-16 profile for external cladding met his requirements most elegantly.

Kingwood’s external cladding was installed vertically instead of the traditional horizontal configuration, with the normally vertical timber stud frame also rotated to a horizontal setting.

All window and flashing technical details were worked out through collaboration between Kingwood and Jack Taylor. The shiplap design of QBO-16 allows boards to lock together and conceal the metal fixings, leaving a clean surface with beautiful shadow lines.

Extremely satisfied with the implementation of Kingwood external cladding as well as technical and customer service, Jack plans to specify the product for his projects.
