Newport Beach based brand Deck are set to showcase Marine Buoy, their unique hanging chair that pairs contemporary design aspects along with marine references, at this year's designEX .

With its bright, eyecatching yellow colouring Marine Buoy is bound to highlight any outdoor space. It is just one piece of the casual yet stylish outdoor lifestyle range that features hard and soft furnishings and bags by the brand.

Deck owners, Virginia Steed and Annika Bennet are inspired by all aspects of nautical design, quality and materials.

The concept behnid the brand was originally devised almost two decades ago, however it was not until Virginia moved to Sydney, and Annika to New Zealand that deck was finally born.

Steed and Bennet spent time in some of Australiasia’s leading sail lofts and chandleries in order to learn the in’s and out’s of nautical design. They decided to adopt the philosophy that every sail should be uniquely individual, and applied it to each of their products.

Each unqiue, high-end piece is handmade by world-class specialists in New Zealand using a combination of new and recycled materials.

The range of deck produces are available throughout Australia, New Zealand, Greece and Asia.
See the unique Marine Buoy - Hanging Chair at the 2012 designEX, which will run from May 14th – 16th at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
