A plywood product from Austral Plywoods was used to create an attractive feature ceiling at the Chrismont Winery in Central Victoria.

The owners of the winery sought to create a unique destination for visitors to the King Valley where the wines, food and ambience would make the guests return for more.

Austral Plywoods’ Premium AC plywood was selected to create the feature ceiling for its aesthetic appeal as well as acoustic qualities. The plywood feature ceiling is a highlight of the internal space at Chrismont Winery, and a textural feature on the expansive eaves that float above the balcony.

The acoustic properties of the specially designed ceiling panels work exceptionally well in the large space.

Building designer M.G. Design & Building and builder Bright Alpine Building were involved in the execution of the project.
