SJ Proteger louvre windows deliver safety and comfort at NSW’s largest BTR development

Installed in the corridors of each level, the SJ Proteger louvres serve as Natural Smoke and Heat Ventilators (NSHV). In the event of a fire, these systems are designed to extract smoke and heat, maintaining visibility and safe escape routes for occupants.

As NSW's largest Build-to-Rent (BTR) development, the Mason & Main project in Merrylands is nearing completion, with an expected handover by the end of 2024. This $250-million landmark development introduces 434 new apartments into the market, a significant addition at a time when development approvals have dropped and the national rental vacancy rate stands at a historic low of 1.07 percent.

Mason & Main is more than just a residential complex; it's a mixed-use town centre project that captures the essence of Merrylands. With its three residential buildings, designer apartments, and resort-style amenities, this development is set to become a new landmark destination. Its strategic location, in close proximity to the Parramatta CBD, makes it an ideal place for residents seeking a blend of contemporary living and community connectivity.

Coronation Property has approached the project with a contemporary lens, respecting the area's rich built form heritage while delivering a new level of residential quality and lifestyle not previously seen in Merrylands. This vision is poised to set a new standard for developments in the region.

At Safetyline Jalousie, we are proud to have contributed to this transformative project by supplying over 350 of our SJ Proteger louvre windows. These louvres play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of Mason & Main's future residents. Installed in the corridors of each level, the SJ Proteger louvres serve as Natural Smoke and Heat Ventilators (NSHV), tested and compliant with EN12101-2. In the event of a fire, these systems are designed to extract smoke and heat, maintaining visibility and safe escape routes for occupants.

As Mason & Main welcomes its residents and retail tenants, we look forward to seeing how this development will reshape the Merrylands landscape, offering a new benchmark in residential living in Western Sydney. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the project's completion.
