Fresh from launching its new Queensland store, protective coatings manufacturer Shieldcoat is to expand into the burgeoning UK market within the next financial quarter.

The group says the move to formally establish a branch comes after numerous expressions of interest in the company’s innovative lines, with a limited amount of export trading to the destination having already been carried out.

Once established, the branch will feature a wide range of water-based protective coatings largely unseen in the United Kingdom and the company will aim to service both the industrial and trade sector of the market. Roof restoration products will be one of the starting points into the market as the company has specialised in this field for close to 10 years.

In addition to this, almost every one of the major Shieldcoat lines including the increasingly-popular NaturaTex render range and the heat-reflectant Thermobond HRC will be available through the branch.

The UK branch will be run by Steve Bullen and is expected to begin operations before the end of this year.
