Exsulite-Kooltherm thermal façade system has been installed at the new performing arts facility built at Loreto College in Ballarat, Victoria. The outcome of a collaboration between Kingspan Insulation and Dulux AcraTex, the thermal façade system features a slimline profile that not only provides superb thermal insulation but also maximises functional interior space.

Designed by architectural firm Gray Puksand and built by SJ Weir, the $9-million Mary’s Mount Centre at Loreto College is a state-of-the-art performing arts facility featuring a 500-seat auditorium, multimedia laboratory as well as spacious music and dance studios.

Coexisting harmoniously with heritage buildings, the new centre is an example of modest, respectful design. One of the most important design features is the Exsulite-Kooltherm thermal facade system by Dulux AcraTex, which incorporates the Kooltherm K5 external wall board.

High-performance insulation is a necessity at the school, where winter temperatures frequently fall several degrees below zero and summertime temperatures can soar well above 40 degrees Celsius. The Exsulite-Kooltherm thermal facade system achieves its peak performance from Kooltherm’s unrivalled practicality, safety and resilience.

Available in 50mm and 80mm configurations, Kingspan Kooltherm K5 external wall boards are CodeMark certified and fire rated to rigorous international and Australian standards, producing exceptional thermal conductivity values.
