Aussie Lockers installed smart lockers at the Preston branch of the Department of Human Services in Victoria to resolve a major storage and tracking issue.

The Department was facing a problem with keeping track of baby and child car seat restraints issued to their employees. Their existing locker system was so antiquated it wasn’t possible to track which staff members had the child seats.

Aussie Lockers recommended their smart lockers integrated with a custom software, which allowed each employee to source the size and type of seat restraint they required via their staff card. With tracking in place, it was possible to identify which staff member had the seat, what time they received it, and when they returned it.

Being connected to the internet, the locker system allows easy access to information sought by the department at any time.
