Architecturally designed commercial concertina doors secure Dan Murphy’s storefront

Commercial concertina doors from The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) were installed for Dan Murphy’s, a renowned national liquor retailer at their outlet in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, NSW, to provide a security deterrent. Dan Murphy’s is part of the Endeavour Group, which also owns the BWS (Beer Wines and Spirits) liquor retail chain. 

ATDC’s heavy duty commercial grade concertina doors have a contemporary aesthetic appeal with their sleek lines and streamlined engineering design. They occupy only a minimal storage depth when unlocked and folded back into their stacking space at the side of the opening.

Project design specifications

These steel constructed concertina doors have a distinctive minimalist design and they retract sideways out of the way in a scissor-like action into a compact storage area so as to be almost invisible during trading hours. The diagonal metal cross-linkages are configured to permit optimum ventilation and through vision through the mesh infill of the doors. 

Unique advantages also include the absence of any need for overhead headroom and a removable floor track that eliminates trip hazards during business hours. The security of these doors can be further enhanced by installing a triple point contact locking mechanism at either end of the system or in the centre.

Colour range

The doors installed on this project were supplied in a standard Satin Black powdercoated finish. Pearl White is another standard finish, although any other colour in the Dulux Duralloy powdercoat range is available on request.

Warranty

A 12-month warranty against defective materials and workmanship applies.
