Located in Subiaco, Australia, the Townshend residence is a luxury project characterised by the perfect integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. Designed by Transform WA architecture studio, this home is a testament to how high-quality materials can enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of a modern home.

In this sense, Cosentino was a key partner in this project thanks to its Dekton surfaces, renowned for their durability, versatility and avant-garde design. These features made Dekton the perfect choice for a wide range of applications throughout the house, from the kitchen to the outdoor areas and bathrooms.

Design and functionality in every space

One of the most outstanding aspects of this home is how the Transform WA team of architects has achieved a harmonious integration between indoors and outdoors. Views of Kings Park are carefully framed by windows that allow the natural landscape to be an integral part of the interior design. In addition, the use of stacked bricks on some of the main walls around the house adds a touch of texture and warmth to the design.

Meanwhile, the use of Dekton Entzo for the kitchen island is a focal point of the design. With a thickness of 12mm and an overhang with elegant brass detailing, this surface is as visually stunning as it is extremely functional. Inspired by classic marble, Dekton Entzo adds a touch of sophistication to the design, while the colour chosen for the rear worktops and splashback, 12mm Dekton Kelya, provides a modern and bold contrast.

The use of Dekton extended beyond the kitchen. Dekton Entzo was used for the TV pedestal in the living room, while Dekton Kelya was chosen for the worktops and tables in the ground floor outdoor areas. This continuity in the use of materials creates a visual coherence that unifies all the spaces in the home.

Versatility and durability for any application

The choice of Dekton by Transform WA was not only due to its visual appeal, but also its exceptional technical properties. Dekton is highly resistant to heat, making it the perfect choice for the kitchen, as it allows hot kitchenware to be placed directly on the worktop without risk of damage. In addition, its resistance to scratches and stains, as well as its low maintenance, makes it perfect for a home that values both beauty and functionality.

Outdoor.jpg

Dekton is equally effective outdoors. Its resistance to UV rays ensures that surfaces retain their immaculate appearance over time, despite constant exposure to sunlight. This makes Dekton an ideal choice for outdoor applications, such as outdoor worktops and tables, where the material is expected to be both beautiful and weather-resistant.

Also in the bathrooms

Dekton Entzo was the surface chosen for the bathrooms on the first and second floors, as well as the master bathroom and the TV pedestal in the bedroom. This non-porous material is perfect for areas where resistance to moisture and stains is essential, ensuring that the bathrooms retain their elegance and functionality with minimal maintenance.
