designEX 2014 award winners announced

The designEX 2014 Awards were announced at a special event held at the Sydney Exhibition Centre in Glebe Island in May.

The designEX 2014 Awards were announced at a special event held at the Sydney Exhibition Centre in Glebe Island in May.

The award winners were selected by a jury consisting of Tamsin O’Neill and Tom Bodycomb, Green Magazine, Sarah K, and Kim Chadwick, Colourways.

Winners of the designEX 2014 Awards include: Best New Innovative Product – KayneMaile; Best Manufactured in Australia – Anomaly; Best Designed in Australia – Tait; and Best Sustainable Product – Anomaly.

The Best Stand Awards went to Ke-Zu (Big), Karndean Designflooring (Medium) and Work-shop by MGDC (Little).

Winners were also announced in the Australasian Graduate of the Year Awards (AGOTYA) by the DIA at designEX, with Andrew Godin, Industrial Design - Monash University, winning the Award of Excellence in the program for emerging designers.
