HVG Facades is proud to be a leading supplier of cladding materials to the Australian construction industry. In response to the mandated removal of all non-compliant polyethylene (PE) cladding, HVG Facades is committed to reducing the impact this waste material will have on our environment.

HVG Facades has partnered with approved recycling experts to develop EnviroSmart®, a program that seeks to address a significant need in the construction industry, in a sustainable manner that contributes to the future health of our planet. This program is an end-to-end solution that provides a cost-effective and safe way to remove and recycle aluminium composite panels. As a completely transparent solution, EnviroSmart® can provide certified documentation of the entire process.

In addition to recycling and reusing non-compliant aluminium cladding, we’ve gone one significant step further and teamed up with Carbon Positive Australia to plant trees and help restore the Australian landscape.

For every qualified project, where non-compliant cladding is removed and recycled using the EnviroSmart® program, HVG Facades will donate and plant trees on your behalf with Carbon Positive Australia.

Here's how we'll do it

Your non-compliant ACP cladding will be collected from site and transported to an accredited recycling facility. The panels will be shredded and separated into aluminium and polyethylene powder using specialised technologies. The separated elements will then be re-used to make new building materials that could be used for future recladding projects.

Why is certification so important?

Regulatory bodies require builders contracted and approved under the cladding rectification program to submit all records of cladding removal as part of funding agreements for individual building projects. HVG Facades’ EnviroSmart® program provides this certification and reporting to all our clients, ensuring compliance with these regulations. As part of our sustainability initiative, the report aligns with relevant Green Star requirements.

Using natural resources more efficiently

EnviroSmart® guarantees that 100% of non-compliant ACP cladding material is diverted from landfill. Our solution ensures that the aluminium and PE core from these panels are recycled in Australia. HVG Facades actively supports a circular economy by feeding recyclables back into the manufacturing process for reuse and further recycling. We continue to collaborate with manufacturers to determine how the recycled product is repurposed.

Reducing our carbon footprint

As the removal of non-compliant cladding progresses, EnviroSmart® remains committed to minimising environmental impact.

Make a sustainable choice with your next recladding project.
