Maxton Fox installs joinery for Sydney’s Oasis Youth Service complex as part of Charity Day

Maxton Fox was proud to partner with ADCO Constructions for the Oasis Youth Service Charity Day by providing joinery for the kitchen area of the organisation’s complex in inner-city Sydney. More than 35 people and 13 companies volunteered their time, materials and labour to spruce up the Surry Hills complex.

Every area of the centre was tended to, including the foyer, rooms, balconies, gardens, BBQ areas and the driveway.

Maxton Fox actively participated in the Charity Day organised by ADCO Constructions, volunteering and installing joinery for the kitchenette. 

“Thank you for all the work you did for the Charity Day out at Oasis in Surry Hills. The quality of your team in the likes of Nathan and the kitchen area, which your team installed, has now allowed the Salvos team to start hosting group dinners and connect the children in a more connected environment. We couldn’t have achieved this without your support and the excellent work you provided,” Lachlan Flood from ADCO Constructions commented.

Oasis Youth Service is dedicated to empowering young people aged 12-24 to attain independence and realise their full potential. As an extension of The Salvation Army, Oasis offers various programs and services including vocational training, drug and alcohol support, and driver training. Furthermore, Oasis Youth Service provides essential temporary accommodation for youth in the local community.

Amanda Travers, the Army’s Relationship Manager for Corporate Partnerships, expressed her gratitude for the contribution and support of The Salvation Army’s mission.

“I felt privileged to spend the day with the amazing teams at ADCO Constructions and all the other companies that generously gave their time and expertise,” she said. “Thank you to everyone involved for bringing love and hope to our Oasis program.”
