Show-stopping kitchen in display home redefines luxury with Smartstone sintered surfaces

Designed for both spacious living and everyday comfort, this single-storey home design by Cavalier Homes combines luxury with versatility, practicality, and Smartstone sintered surfaces.

On display in South Nowra, NSW, the home showcases a show-stopping kitchen with a striking Smartstone Calacatta Lusso splashback, delivering a bold accent that blends with other elements in perfect harmony.

Meaning luxury in Italian, 'Lusso' is one of the six Calacatta marble recreations in the Sintered Collection, a new surface range that elevates the qualities of traditional porcelain to an entirely new level.

"When choosing this kitchen, I wanted to showcase something different, something that created "wow" factor whilst using our current suppliers," said Courtnay Gardner of Cavalier Homes Shoalhaven. "Smartstone delivered the WOW!"

An opulent Italian marble style, Calacatta Lusso recreates the drama, colour and movement of Calacatta marble in sintered stone. It features a stunning combination of gold, amber and grey veins sweeping across a grey-white background.

With the sintered surface as centrepiece in an open plan dining and living area, the kitchen redefines modern luxury with the curated tones of the dark cabinetry, white walls, and rustic stone-clad fireplace.

Drawing deserved attention in the kitchen space, Calacatta Lusso is paired with an island in the warm, off-white Cemento Bianco from the pure range of the Sintered Collection.

Experts in joinery, New Image Kitchens Shoalhaven provided all the design and joinery requirements for the kitchen and other rooms.

"Smartstone’s refined finishes enhance the home’s contemporary style, offering a luxurious yet practical solution ideal for everyday use in a high-end display setting," said New Image Kitchens designer Eric Tekis.

Smartstone surfaces across different price categories are showcased as benchtops in different areas in the home.

In the pantry, Bellini Bianco from the classic price range provides the understated beauty of Italian Carrara marble in durable sintered surface. Highly resistant to scratches, staining, etching, heat, frost and chemicals, the Sintered Collection is extremely durable, ranking 7 on Mohs Scale of Mineral Hardness (diamond ranks 10, being the hardest).

With almost nil porosity, Smartstone surfaces prevent the growth of mould and mildew in wet areas. A soft, concrete-inspired grey surface, Concreto Grigio was the perfect choice for bathrooms and the laundry area.

With its light, cool grey base, Concreto Grigio also served as the ideal benchtop in the alfresco barbeque area. With its UV stability, Smartstone surfaces are perfect for the outdoors.
