Cleverly layered, raw and honest materials are an intrinsic design principle that make the Dolly Bar & Eatery in Adelaide an inviting and chic destination, but it’s the use of bricks that act as the unifying design element across the space.

Designed by Genesin Studio's Ryan Genesin, Tinto Cream bricks from PGH were chosen for the flooring of the bar, laid in a stacked bond pattern for a modern twist on an urban feel. But the bricks don’t stop at the floor. Bricks feature in the entry area and they wrap around the base of the concrete-look walls instead of skirting, as if almost hugging the space. Much of the seating is created from the Tinto brick. The repetition of the brick unifies the space adding warmth and natural tactility.
