The new Michael Kirby Building designed by Hassell for Macquarie University’s Wallumattagal Campus has been unveiled as a landmark learning destination hub. Featuring a selection of Stylecraft furniture, the building’s fitout combines functionality with design.

The new Michael Kirby Building designed by Hassell for Macquarie University’s Wallumattagal Campus has been unveiled as a landmark learning destination hub, and is a recent award winner of the 2024 Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) for the Institutional Category.

Featuring a selection of Stylecraft furniture, the building’s fitout combines functionality with design. The locally manufactured Adapt Curve by Ross Gardam creates key collaboration zones, enhancing interactivity, while its modular design ensures flexibility to meet evolving needs, offering solutions for both the present and the future.

In the main thoroughfare, the Kiik Modular Lounge by Arper provides a point to pause or converse. Its white base and soft upholstery blend seamlessly into the atrium’s interconnectivity, supporting the dynamic flow of students and staff.
