As Australia continues to embrace a more sustainable future, it is essential to recognise the visionaries who have dedicated their careers to pioneering environmental responsibility. The Lifetime Achievement Award, a category at the Sustainability Awards 2025, is a testament to the individuals whose lifelong efforts have significantly advanced sustainability in Australia.

This award, sponsored by Architectural Window Systems (AWS), celebrates those who have not only led by example but also laid the foundation for future generations to build upon.

Sustainability is not a short-term pursuit; it is a commitment that requires long-term vision, perseverance, and an unwavering dedication to progress.

The Lifetime Achievement Award acknowledges an individual who has spent their career championing environmental best practices, influencing policy, driving industry change, and inspiring communities to adopt more sustainable ways of living and working. The winner is selected by Editor Branko Miletic and Digital Editor Clémence Carayol, independent of jury.

From architects and engineers to policymakers and activists, previous honourees have demonstrated remarkable leadership across various sectors.

Their contributions may include advancing green building standards, promoting renewable energy, driving circular economy initiatives, or advocating for climate-conscious urban planning. Regardless of their specific field, they share a common goal: making Australia a more sustainable place for current and future generations.

As the official sponsor of the Lifetime Achievement Award, Architectural Window Systems (AWS) is deeply committed to sustainability in the built environment.

A leader in innovative and energy-efficient window and door systems, AWS understands the importance of sustainable design and construction in reducing environmental impact.

Through its support of this award, AWS seeks to honour those who have made an indelible mark on the industry and continue to inspire change.

The Sustainability Awards 2025 will bring together leading professionals, organisations, and change-makers to celebrate outstanding achievements in sustainability.

The announcement of the Lifetime Achievement Award winner will be a highlight of the event, offering a moment to reflect on the profound impact one individual can have on shaping a greener and more sustainable Australia.
