In a bid to strengthen ties with the Australian design community, Australia’s leader in thermal building solutions, Bondor, has signed a three-year partnership deal with the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA).

Bondor, a leading manufacturer of insulated panels and the only distributor and installer of EPS cored panels, believes that this move would benefit the industry, especially with thermal efficiency being a key concern of various firms and professionals today.

Bondor general manager Geoff Marsdon says, “The thermal efficiency offered by insulated panels, along with their versatility, has been largely untapped across a range of building types, but is emerging as a key element in the future of the built environment.”

At the same time, this corporate agreement signals an increased involvement of Bondor with Australian architects.

“Being an Institute partner will allow us to get a firsthand appreciation of what is important to architects, and to understand how we, as a building products business, can improve our working relationship with architectural groups or individual architects,” says Marsdon.

The AIA has also expressed its excitement about this partnership. CEO David Parken said the Institute was keen to work with Bondor across key programs that engaged with architects, while building strong relationships that would provide value and growth for both parties.

Representing almost 12,000 members across Australia and overseas, the AIA is no stranger to raising and servicing sponsorship agreements.  This three-year partnership, which expires in 2016, is the latest of a strong history of corporate agreements with companies such as Dulux and AWS.
