Fielders has supplied 45,000m2 of its KingFlor RF55 formwork as part of construction work taking place at iconic sports stadium, Adelaide Oval.
Scheduled for completion in 2013, the upgrade of Adelaide Oval aims to develop it into an internationally renowned, world-class venue for the 21st Century.
Fielders KingFlor formwork is an integral component of the project and will provide significant savings in overall project costs as a result of reduced concrete labour and propping requirements, along with reducing construction time, allowing sporting events to return even sooner to the ground.
“KingFlor has seen great uptake nationwide thanks to its ability to reduce the reinforcement required, when using steel formwork in large projects, while increasing the speed of construction,” explained Fielders CEO, Keith Middleton.
The first installment consisting of 1200m2 of KingFlor was recently delivered to Adelaide Oval for use in the new Eastern and Southern grandstands with work expected to continue by Fielders until mid 2013.
Currently specified on all major projects in the state, Fielders KingFlor has been used on a diverse range of development projects, including multistorey housing, car parks, shopping centres, office buildings and hospitals.
Nationally, it was utilised for major projects including Adelaide Airport, Sydney’s newest high rise, ANZ Bank Centre and Perth’s City Square.
