GWA Group Limited has been chosen to be part of Melbourne’s new MainPoint Apartment complex, supplying its water and energy efficient products throughout the building’s kitchens and bathrooms.

The landmark 43 level tower building, from developers Central Equity incorporates 350 apartments and nine levels of car parking, and offers a range of apartment designs and configurations including one bed plus study, two and three bedroom styles – all with balconies.

GWA Bathrooms and Kitchens supplied a full schedule of fittings including tapware, sinks, toilet suites and other bathroom accessories for the development. These were selected for their style and water and energy efficiency, to assist in meeting the sustainability ratings for the development.

Commenting on the design concept and choice of fittings for the project, Ian Carkeek, General Manager - Product and Development at Central Equity said, “The range of GWA products suited our design concept while at the same time achieving key practical and environmentally sustainable requirements. This, in addition to our long standing, first-hand experience using GWA products and their great design and performance, meant this was an easy choice of product for us to specify.”

The MainPoint apartments feature the Hansa Prado Neu range of mixers in the kitchens and bathrooms, combining functionality and durability with an understated form. The sink and basin mixers both deliver 4-star WELS ratings.

The basin mixers are paired with the Caroma Liano Semi-recessed Vanity Basin, an architecturally minimalist style square basin that incorporates a generous bowl area and a distinctive tapware platform.

The wall faced Stylus Venecia toilet suite and the Hansa Ecojet Neu 3 shower on rail, which features three stream patterns and an integrated soap dish, were both selected for the apartments based on their contemporary designs and water efficiency.
