Next year’s Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services (ARBS) Exhibition in Melbourne is shaping up to be the biggest in the event’s history.
The biennial Australian HVAC&R tradeshow showcases the latest in energy efficient technologies from manufacturers and distributors around the globe.
Current bookings put the May, 2012 exhibition at 12 per cent larger than the previous biggest show (2008 in Melbourne).
“With the original space booked out rapidly by both regular and new exhibitors, we’ve been fortunate to secure additional space,” said ARBS 2012 exhibition organiser Sue Falcke.
To be held in Melbourne from 7-9 May 2012, the ARBS Exhibition and seminar program is expected to attract more than 8,000 industry visitors from around Australia and the world.
A technical seminar series also runs alongside the exhibition, with content directed to informing HVAC&R, facilities managers and building services professionals.
The three day series for ARBS 2012 is currently being finalised, and organisers are still inviting expressions of interest from potential speakers.
The series will feature local and international experts on a range of topics including the effects of the carbon tax on the industry, the current state of ratings systems including the introduction of the sixth NABERS star and Green Star — Performance, BIM, natural refrigerants and a range of other topics.
The ARBS 2012 seminar series also offers a range of small group visits to Melbourne buildings that demonstrate best practices in energy efficiency, sustainability and building control systems.
