Sunshine Coast-based Ausmar Homes has won the Professional Small Builder of the Year award for the fifth year in a row at the HIA Queensland Awards.

The award gives the builder the chance to win the national award for the third consecutive year in May 2012.

Ausmar director, Tony Bryan, said it was encouraging to be recognised by the HIA particularly at a time when tough economic conditions are taking their toll on the industry.

“Times are certainly tough in the building industry and we believe it is our ongoing commitment to quality, exceptional customer service and delivering value for money that has helped us not only maintain but increase our market share in these difficult times,” said Bryan.

“We are very proud of this award and I’d like to thank everyone in the Ausmar team for their contribution. We have a great crew who share our passion for building quality homes for the Sunshine Coast community.”

The awards, which aim to promote quality and professionalism in the housing industry, review four areas of the business, namely customer service, leadership in the business, business management and financial management.

“We have exciting times ahead at Ausmar with the imminent launch of our new set of plans and a few exciting custom build projects underway. We are also opening our new display home at The Aspect Estate in Gympie in the coming weeks which we believe is a great example of what we offer and we encourage people to come along and have a look,” said Bryan.

The company currently has display homes at Brightwater and Birtinya Island and offers a free obligation-free design service for those looking to build.
