CSR Edmond's ecopower 600 has been installed at the new Lifestyle Working in Brookvale, NSW.
ecopower 600 greatly assists in natural ventilation and passive energy techniques, which also reduces energy costs.
The Lifestyle Working building is an ecologically sustainable development with a commitment to target a 5 star Australia Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR) and will be the first strata building to target 5-stars.
The sustainable initiatives within Lifestyle Working include: natural ventilation, rainwater harvesting, solar panels, passive energy solutions, and recycled timbers.
Daniel Harcourt, sales and leasing manager for Lifestyle Working, says the installation of the ecopower 600 is a suitable ventilation system that eliminates stale air in corridors and replaces it with fresh air, without the need for a large mechanical ventilation system.
"Since installing the ecopower 600, we have seen significant benefits. The unique ventilation system ensured reduction in energy costs, noise levels and a comfortable change in temperature," Harcourt says.
The system has the capacity to operate by wind alone or by both wind and electric power simultaneously. The energy efficient mechanism enables a motorised boost during periods of low wind speed or for special ventilation.
The ecopower 600 model has an exhaust capacity of 4250 sq per hour.
