The Building Services Authority (BSA) has launched a new YouTube channel which it says will be a valuable new communication tool for members of the building industry.
The video clips on the BSA's channel will cover a range of subjects, from technical information for contractors, to consumer advice, and many other building-related issues.
Minister for Building Industry Simon Finn said the delivery of information via the new YouTube channel was a significant achievement and an exciting development for the BSA
"This YouTube channel will add to the BSA's work in protecting and helping its 84,000 licensees and Queensland home owners," Finn said.
"It will prove to be a great asset to licensees and home owners across Queensland."
The BSA has produced a number of video clips that are accessible by clicking on the YouTube logo on the BSA's home page at www.bsa.qld.gov.au .This will take contractors and consumers directly to the BSA YouTube channel.
"If you're a building contractor interested in timber framing codes, a concreter wanting to learn about common defects, or a home owner interested in renovating or building a house, there'll be something on here for you," Finn said.
"Not only can you visit the site and watch the videos, you can also subscribe to the site via a link on the YouTube channel," he said.
"If you are a subscriber, you'll be automatically notified when any new material is uploaded so you can stay informed of building industry news, public warnings and updates to building practices."
