Carter Holt Harvey Woodproducts has advised it is back into operation with its Queensland timber, particleboard and distribution facilities, having survived flooding in and around its locations.

Its assets were largely protected and all employees were safe and were kept accounted for during the natural disaster.

Some damage and stock losses occurred at sites but sites have returned to production and despatch capability.

A press statement said that while the significant level of road infrastructure affected has created transport issues its plants in other states have been able to maintain some supply over this period, as access has allowed, and will continue to do this into the future.

“As more roads become passable the business will be better able to meet customers’ needs across the State,” it said.
