Contract Administrators, Estimators and Safety Advisers have topped the list of skills in demand in Australia’s construction sector in the second quarter of 2012, says recruiting company Hays Construction.

In the latest Hays Quarterly Report, for the April to June quarter, across Australia’s construction sector the hotspots most in demand include:

New South Wales: Contracts Administrators, Project Managers, Site Managers and Safety Advisers.

Northern Territory: Project Engineers, Estimators, Site Engineers and Project Managers.

Queensland: Project Managers, Project Engineers and Civil Superintendents.

South Australia: Contract Administrators, Cost Managers, Estimators, Cost Engineers and Managers, Planners and Schedulers.

Victoria: Professionals with high rise and health project experience.

Tasmania: Steel Fixers and Formwork Carpenters,

Western Australia: Estimators, Contract Administrators and Quantity Surveyors.
