CSR has unveiled the latest version of its REDBOOK — the Gyprock Fire and Acoustic Design Guide — adding close to 150 new systems to the already comprehensive manual.
The RED BOOK provides a ready reference for designers, architects and specifiers to the performance of an extensive range of Gyprock and Cemintel fire and acoustic wall, ceiling and column/beam systems.
CSR Gyprock Marketing Manager, Najwa Khoury said, “The RED BOOK contains all the latest data required to ensure they are able to specify walls and ceilings for their system or project - interior and exterior, commercial and residential.”
Some of the key changes to the new 2012 REDBOOK include:
- New wall and ceiling systems
- Thermal ratings are now given for exterior wall systems
- A new section on lining design with glancing light, applied finishes and curved walls
- A new range of acoustic ceilings
- A new section for acoustic flanking paths
- All Gyprock EC08 systems are now included in the manual
Fire, acoustic and structural testing has been carried out for all Gyprock products as well as relevant Bradford insulation and Rondo building products. To complement this testing program, CSR Gyprock uses certified assessments from appropriate authorities, based on test results and expert opinion.
The RED BOOK is available online, to be downloaded in PDF format (approximately 46MB), and comes complete with associated CAD drawing files.
