The $13.7 million Tingeera Apartments in Hervey Bay have been completed. The complex includes 40 two- and three-bedroom apartments with sea views to Fraser Island, private balconies, large private rooftop entertainment areas for the penthouse apartments and a basement carpark. The project utilised Ritek Building Solutions products, including the Custom Roof Panel and the XL Wall System.

The Ritek XL Wall System was used in all structural and non structural walls, including party walls (walls that separate units) and lift shafts. The Ritek Custom Roofing System was used on the roof, including the balcony roofing. The Roof System can be used in curved, multi-curved or flat configurations, has high spanning and cantilever capability and is suitable for cyclone regions and has a group one fire rating.

The project was originally designed using traditional methods, however the client requested the Ritek products. Ritek systems are pre-fabricated to suit the building and the building services can be installed as the walls are erected. Ritek systems are designed to be quickly installed, with minimal waste on-site while providing high performance.

Recent upgrades to the Ritek Custom Roof System have resulted in increased thermal ratings and engineered greater spans for high wind areas (C4-W70). The increased thermal ratings means a higher R-Value can be achieved using a thinner roof thickness. An R-Value of 3.0 previously required the use of a 140 mm panel and can now be achieved using a 125 mm thick panel.
