Architects, landscape architects, interior designers and design professionals have only a few more days to get entries in for the 2013 Intergrain Timber Vision Awards.
The deadline has been extended until Friday 5 July to allow the latest timber projects to be in the running.
Now in its fourth year, the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards are designed to celebrate the innovative ways timber is used in residential and commercial projects.
Categories for this year include Exterior Residential, Interior Residential, Exterior Commercial and Interior Commercial.
Entries will be evaluated by a prestigious judging panel which includes, 2012 Commercial Exterior winner - Hamish Lyon, principal and design director at NH Architecture (VIC); Virginia Kerridge, principal of Virginia Kerridge Architect (NSW); Cameron Bruhn, editorial director at Architecture Media (VIC) and Douglas Curr, Dulux specification & project services consultant.
Winners will receive a $2,000 cash prize plus Intergrain product to the value of $5,000 and industry exposure.
Intergrain brand manager Krystal Brabham says the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards aim to highlight the great work of industry professionals in pushing the boundaries of timber design.
“Each year the awards continue to build with outstanding entries across all four categories. Last year was no exception, with entries showcasing striking and unique timber applications. This year we’re expecting an even higher number of entries, which illustrate the extraordinary talent of Australian architects and designers,” Brabham says.
“We are particularly looking for projects that move away from traditional timber applications, exuding creativity and style, while demonstrating the significant role timber plays in architectural design.”
Entries now close this Friday, with winners to be announced in August at the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards Breakfast to be held in Melbourne.
