A building company named Everyday Homes has won the HIA CSR NSW Home of the Year.

The home, at Sandy Point, also won the Custom Built Home of the Year, the Custom Built Home Under $2 Million, Bathroom of the Year and Large Bathroom Over 5 sqm categories earlier in the evening.

The awards recognise excellence in housing innovation, material selection, design, construction and services to the NSW residential building industry.

Panache Kitchens also had a multiple award-winning year, its awards included Kitchen of the Year, Large Kitchen Over 18 sqm, Cabinetmaker/Kitchen Manufacturer and Kitchen Design of the Year.

Other companies that were celebrating with two awards each for their projects included Mitch Eliott Carpentry, McDonald Jones Homes, Cape Cod Australia Pty Ltd, Hammerhead Building Projects and Art of Kitchens.

HIA NSW executive director, David Bare, said the awards were a tremendous display of the housing industry’s capacity, innovation and resilience in tough times.

“It is encouraging to see that in challenging market conditions HIA’s builders and designers have maintained their commitment to excellence. The high standard of entries shows that support for these awards has yet again been remarkable. Each year the bar is raised higher making the judging process all the more difficult.”

“Major winners tonight can look forward to progressing to HIA’s national awards next year and we wish them every success.”
