Fujitsu’s new Woodhead-designed Melbourne headquarters is situated in the 6 star Green Star building, The Gauge, at Melbourne’s Docklands.
All of the floors in the new fitout have been planned so that general staff are situated at the perimeter of the space, where daylight and views are prominent.
Spatial planning has resulted in the necessary departmental affiliations with level four as typical office space, level five as a conference floor and reception on level six.
The sixth level reception features Fujitsu’s infinity logo embossed into a curved timber wall, with interactive LCD screens used as a promotional tool upon entering the space.
The corporate waiting area also features a bio-wall. The digital media centre adjacent to reception showcases the company’s new technologies in a darkened gallery space, complete with motion sensors.
The Fujitsu fitout is aiming for ‘world’s best practice’ in environmental interior design, and expects to achieve a 5 star energy rating.
