Kevin McCloud, host of the UK television show Grand Designs, will visit Australia for the first time in October to officially open the inaugural Grand Designs Australia LIVE.

The live event will bring the international and Australian television shows to life at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. The three day show will offer visitors design ideas, renovation and home improvement solutions from 21st to 23rd October.

On officially opening the premier live event Kevin McCloud said: “Grand Designs Australia LIVE is the television series turned 3D! With the special features and over 300 exhibitors it’s sure to be a worthwhile experience. Those who come will also get to share a bit of the sparkle and magic of the television show.”

The show will feature leading international and Australian exhibitors of high end interiors, kitchen, bathroom, building and garden products and design, showcased in four quarters: Grand Interiors, Grand Building, Grand Outdoors and Grand Kitchen & Bathrooms.

Interactive features, complimentary one-on-one expert advice, Phillips House of the Future, Whitehouse Rooms by Design sponsored by Dulux, Designer Eco Village created by SBS Residential and the Miele Grand Kitchen featuring some of Australia’s top chefs promise to be just some of the highlights of the event. Host of the Grand Designs Australia TV program, Peter Maddison, will also officially open the event.
