CivEnEx is Australia's premier exhibition for the construction, public works and open space management industries and will this year be held on May 21-23.

Hundreds of equipment suppliers will gather at CivEnEx in Sydney's Eastern Creek to display the latest equipment for infrastructure projects - road construction, earthworks, water, sewer, streetscapes, parks and waste management.

Every year, more than 5,000 visitors attend the show from a wide cross-section of the construction, public works and local government sector, including engineers, private contractors and tradespeople eager to check out the latest product developments.

According to Greg Moran, NSW president for the Institute for Public Works Engineering Australia, key decision makers in these industries will be focussing on solutions that represent value. "Everyone in contracting will be seeking tools that provide a genuine competitive advantage when it comes to winning tenders and accessing government contracts."

Moran also said that construction contractors are feeling more optimistic now that some 75 per cent of the federal government's $42 billion mini-budget will be spent on schools, housing, energy efficiency, community infrastructure, roads, rail and tax breaks for business spending on capital assets.
