Winners were selected by an independent panel of expert judges and announced at the gala event held at Parliament House and hosted by the Premier Barry O’Farrell MP and Robyn Parker MP Minister for the Environment.
O’Farrell said in the past decade Investa had delivered on initiatives by thinking outside the square and looking to the future, which made both good environmental and business sense.
Investa’s general manager, Sustainability, Safety and Environment, Craig Roussac commented: “At Investa we’ve achieved commercial success by treating environmental and business priorities as one and the same.”
“The Green Globe Awards, perhaps more than any others we’ve come across, take a similar approach. They are extremely credible, and because they recognise leadership and innovation, you know that if you are fortunate enough to be recognised with an award, you are moving ahead on a more sustainable footing,” said Roussac.
The Green Globes adding to the recently awarded Property Council of Australia’s NSW Development of the Year, and Australia’s Best New Sustainable Development of the Year for Coca-Cola Place at 40 Mount Street, North Sydney.
