Green building and sustainability advocate Jerry Yudelson will present the keynote address at ARBS 2012. Yudelson will speak about the promise versus performance of sustainable buildings.

Attendees gain an insight into the content of Yudelson’s forthcoming book, The World's Greenest Buildings: Promise Versus Performance in Sustainable Design (to be released in September 2012).

In it, Yudelson and co-author Ulf Meyer present more than 50 case studies to support their analysis of the successes and failures of the sustainable buildings industry globally. The book includes five Australian cases tudies and compares our industry against the US, Asian and European countries including green leader Germany.

Yudelson will also speak about current and future trends in sustainable building, from the rise of green retrofits to emerging demand for increasingly sophisticated performance monitoring and reporting tools required to meet legislative and other demands.

The 2012 ARBS will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, South Wharf in Melbourne on Monday 7th May until Wednesday 9th May.
