Airlie BankAirlie Bank by Neometro in Melbourne's The Royal Botanic Gardens precinct of South Yarra is about to commence construction.

Jeff Provan, Neometro design director, has been conscious of the project's impact on the neighbourhood and has applied the latest environmentally sustainable design principles throughout it.

Airlie Bank, made up of nine luxury residences, will have a 6 star rating and its design proposal goes well beyond the minimum sustainability requirements for a residential apartment building. Sustainability features include rainwater tanks, a roof mounted and grid connected photovoltaic system for body corporate power, thermal heating and cooling and cross ventilation.

Construction is due to commence in September and is scheduled to finish in the first quarter of 2011.
