NATSPEC has made available the first release of the NATSPEC BIM Management Plan (BMP) Template.
A Word file that can be edited use on your BIM projects can be downloaded from bim.natspec.org. See the link in the article at the top of the homepage.
Neil Greenstreet, a senior architect at NATSPEC said when releasing the plan for review:
“The Although the document review process has formally been completed, it does not preclude you making further comments or suggestions, or notifying us of errors. We would also like to hear from you about your experiences of using the BMP Template on projects.
“The NATSPEC Team offers sincere thanks to everyone for their interest in the project. We are indebted to all reviewers — they directly shaped the document by contributing large amounts of content and engaging in extensive correspondence,” he added.
According to Greenstreet, during the development period it became clear that a worked example of the BMP Template would be helpful to many people wishing to use it. “We have made this our next priority,” he he said.
