New tools, materials, technologies and innovations will be on show when the DesignBuild expo takes place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 27 — 29 June.
Exhibition Manager, Frank Matus said: “Technology continually innovates the way we design and build, including the products we specify and install, as well as the tools we use.
“We know that the industry is busy and every minute you’re not onsite, you’re not earning money but DesignBuild brings together all the latest innovations, so you can see all the ideas to build smarter, without wasting time or money,” he said.
Matus said that DesignBuild 2012 will feature the largest ever Green Building Zone, the first interactive Innovation Alley and all new Tool Demonstration Stations.
“Visitors to DesignBuild can get their hands on the widest range of tools at our live Tool Demonstration Stations to trial and compare the latest kit, meet with manufacturers and even buy discounted tools onsite.
“They can also see the latest building materials and advancements in sustainable design technologies to ensure they are staying competitive in the market,” he said.
Some of the new products include:
360 BOLT
A new bolt for steel frame construction that avoids costly delays due to misalignment. Doesn’t rust, is adjustable once you cast into concrete and doesn’t require any welding.
Reid Construction Systems
Reid says it will showcase Architectural Solutions that bring together a stable of innovative architectural systems and technologies for decorative concrete, which are sustainable and cost-effective.
