The Property Industry Foundation (PIF) has launched "PIF Goes West", a program aimed at taking the 12 year old charity organisation to businesses in Western Sydney.

PIF aims to unite the property and construction industries in an independent initiative to support community programs aimed at youth homelessness.

The Western Sydney region is fast becoming an active business hub with Parramatta CBD one of the fastest growing business districts in Sydney. Norwest Business Park in Baulkham Hills also has over 30,000 people working there, providing PIF with an opportunity to reach property related businesses that were located outside the Sydney CBD.

"Taking PIF outside the city will begin to make a tangible difference to the lives of young homeless people living in Western Sydney," says PIF chairman, Brendan Crotty.

A proactive committee has been established comprising companies based in the west, including Watpacm Sydney Water, Australand, Blue Chip and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Charities in the west that PIF has already been supporting include Exodus Foundation, Open Family, Barnardos, Uniting Care Burnside, Marist Youth Care and Ted Noffs Foundation.
