A: The Double Glaze Venetian Blind units feature venetians which are completely sealed within two layers of toughened safe glass. They are a popular product because they effectively stay clean for life, are maintenance free and protected against damage.

A: Double Glaze Venetian Blinds are becoming the preferred solution for use in sliding patio and bi-fold doors where the blinds do not interfere with the opening and closing operation. Airtight sealed within the glazed unit, the blinds are oblivious to dirt, dust and misuse. They provide a unique solution for privacy, reduction in sound and solar glare.
Its 16mm slats are coated with a high-resistance UV stable polyester paint, and all components are guaranteed and thoroughly tested. While tilting and lifting is controlled via a magnetic slider (no hanging cords) the blinds are not compromised by the long term performance of the sealed unit with all moving parts self-contained, thereby protecting the integrity of the sealed glazed unit.
A Retro system has also been developed which will increase the savings cost on existing building by adapting our Double Glaze Venetian unit into the back section of the existing glaze panel, therefore converting a single glaze panel to triple glaze with two air-gaps and venetian blinds. This will give a massive saving on energy bills.

Q: Has the product been tested or awarded any accreditations?
A: The Double Glaze Venetians have been tested by the Optometry and Vision Science at the University of New South Wales. They have been calculated using Windows 4.1 program developed by Windows & Daylighting Group at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. (NFRC / ASHRAE). The test results have shown a maximum SHGC (solar heat gain coefficient) of 0.16, and U-Factor of 2.7.
