TAK Acquisitions has won the 2009 Housing Industry Association-CSR Australian Home of the Year at the HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards.

Designed by Project Designs Architects, the Yeronga property had earlier won the HIA-Stratco Australian Spec Home of the Year.

Judges found the riverfront residence to be "as much a tangible art form as a luxury home." The home "challenges convention, embraces innovation and incorporates an extensive palette of materials to produce a memorable family home."

Queensland picked up the HIA-Caroma Dorf Australian Bathroom Project of the Year won by Ingles Homes; the HIA-Nissan Navara Australian Special Purpose Housing of the Year won by FKP Constructions designed by Cox Rayner Architects and the HIA Insurance Services Australian Professional Major Builder of the Year was awarded to Ausbuild.

NSW was also awarded five titles including HIA-Vodafone Australian Apartment Project of the Year, HIA-Hyne Australian Residential Building Designer of the Year and HIA-OneSteel Reinforcing Australian Renovation and Addition Project of the Year.
