More than 70 progressive companies will exhibit the latest in lighting technology at SPARC International Lighting Event 2013 from 4 – 6 June in Sydney.

“SPARC is the Southern Hemisphere’s leading event for lighting professionals and stakeholders in the built environment, including manufacturers, suppliers and allied professionals,” said SPARC CEO Bryan Douglas.

The 2013 exhibition will showcase leading edge innovations, products and technology—reflecting developments in interior, exterior, retail and commercial lighting and lighting controls.

Companies range from large multinationals to smaller niche businesses from across Australia and overseas.

More than 3000 national and international visitors participated in the inaugural SPARC event in 2011, and thousands are again expected this year.

In addition to the exhibition, there is a Speaker Program including experts from Australia and around the world who will discuss the rise of media facades and media architecture, the past and future of lighting design, the potential of spectral power distribution of light used for illumination, the role and use of social media in the lighting industry, and designing lighting for circadian rhythm as an example of the importance of the role of light in human life and health.

Social networking opportunities at the event will include the Opening Ceremony, ‘Happy Two Hours’ and the spectacular Gala Dinner.

SPARC is aligning with this year’s Vivid Sydney, the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest annual celebration of light, music and ideas.
