The Association of Building Sustainability Assessors (ABSA) will open the doors of the Melbourne

Convention and Exhibition Centre this Thursday and Friday for the Sustainable Building: Does it measure up? conference.

Featuring a line-up of industry experts, academics and government advisors, the conference will deliberate whether sustainability really measures up. Focusing on four key themes pertinent to the future of sustainability, conference sessions have been designed to consider the big picture, the regulations, the products and the tools.

Influential figure on environmental issues, and 2010 NSW Australian of the Year, Jon Dee will conduct a special breakfast seminar.

Jon Dee founded Planet Ark, ‘National Tree Day’, the Australian advocacy organisation, Do Something! and the 14-country ‘World Environment Review’ poll. He also initiated the successful lobbying for Australia’s three-year phase out of incandescent light globes and continues to spearhead the campaign to eliminate plastic bags.
