The $60 million Cross+ development has been completed by development company Ashington. Cross+ comprises an 18-storey mixed-use building with ground-floor retail, a 77-room hotel over six levels and five upper levels of boutique office space plus a penthouse.

The building was designed by Andrew Frost and Paul Brace. Veneer panels clad the walls and deep grey/green stone covers the floor. The hotel has a separate reception area and a 24-hour concierge. A raised seating platform with a mix of furnishings welcomes visitors. An electronic wayfinder has been installed to provide visitors with an interactive tenancy directory service.

High speed lifts transport occupants to the commercial floors, which feature pale timber parquet flooring with glazed office walls lining the central corridors, enabling natural light to penetrate the common areas. The design finish features stone tiles that provide a counterpoint to the stainless steel and glazed glass in the corridors. Timber parquetry was used to enhance the quality of the commercial tenancy entrances and stone was used in the lobby for its durability.

The Cross+ was formerly part of the Millennium Hotel and is located near the iconic Coca Cola sign in Kings Cross.
