Trex Company has announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Replas, an Australian manufacturer of recycled plastic products.
Through the partnership, Trex Company hopes to grow its brand presence in Eastern Australia and be better positioned to capture additional share of the country’s wood-alternative decking and railing market.
“Our alliance with Replas will considerably increase our sales footprint in Australia and ensure that high-performance Trex outdoor living products are available to building professionals and homeowners throughout the entire country,” said Ron Kaplan, chairman, president and CEO of Trex.
“Replas’ robust distribution infrastructure, sales resources and warehousing facilities – combined with our manufacturing expertise – will help to establish Trex as a leading outdoor living brand in Australia,” he said.
Beginning in July, Replas will distribute Trex decking and railing to the States of Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania – as well as the Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand.
“Replas and Trex share a strong commitment to excellence, innovation and service – as well as to the manufacturing of environmentally-friendly products,” said Mark Yates, principal director for Replas.
“Our partnership is a natural fit, as both companies possess unparalleled brand recognition and nearly four decades of salvaging plastic waste from landfills and repurposing it into low- maintenance, long-lasting products that appeal to both consumers and contractors for their quality, beauty and eco-consciousness.”
